Club Life
  • The Little Flowers Girls Club evolves around three wreath cycles, meeting bimonthly for girls in grades Kindergarten - Eighth grade.

  •  Each wreath consists of about nine virtues of study.

Wreath I includes the virtues of:
Faith, Hope, Love of God, Love of Neighbor, Obedience, Humility, Truthfulness, Industry, Piety.

Wreath II includes the virtues of:
Mercy, Courage, Joy, Generosity, Prudence, Wisdom, Justice, Loyalty, and Perseverance.

Wreath III includes the virtues of:
Eutrapelia, Friendliness, Initiative, Orderliness, Self-Control, Responsibility, Patience, Cheerfulness, Fortitude.

  • A virtue will be completed every month by means of fun activities, games, songs and more.

  • A pedal patch is given upon completing a virtue.

  • When a wreath is completed, each girl will be wearing a perfect little flower patch to display on her sash.

  •   A tea party will be provided and certificates of merit will be given to honor the girls’ achievements at the end of the program year.
General Information

Little Flowers Girls Club was founded by Rachel Watkins, a devoted Catholic and mother of eleven children.  The program's wreaths I and II have the Imprimatur from the Archdiocese of Baltimore, Maryland.  Wreaths III and IV are currently under review.

The Little Flowers Girls Club is a Catholic organization for girls intended to provide young Catholic girls with an opportunity to gather and learn about their Catholic heritage, faith and traditions in a relaxed and friendship forming environment.

Each month a virtue is emphasized by associating it with a flower, a saint and a scripture verse.  The Holy Bible, The Catechism of the Catholic Church, books about saints and the virtues are all incorporated in the meetings.  The Little Flowers earn patches which reflect a virtue by doing works of service, praying, memorizing scripture verses and learning about a chosen saint.  Songs, crafts, and projects relating to the chosen virtue add to the fun.

Within the meeting, the girls will hear, read, share, and learn about our role model, the Blessed Virgin Mary, our patroness, St. Therese of Lisieux, saints of the Church, and their own mothers.  The Club invites friendships and support the girls’ beliefs.

It is hoped that a girl, upon completion of this program, will learn what it means to be a Catholic girl and eventually a Catholic woman.  Whether she is called to a life of consecration to our Lord, as a single woman, or as a wife and mother, what she learns as a Little Flower will give a strong foundation upon which to build.
